Milestones
Months ago, I started telling Judah about the potty. Whenever he would go in the tub, I would point to him, then to the toilet and say, "we pee in the potty!" and repeat myself a few times. Well, back on Thursday he was standing in the tub, looked down at himself, then started pointing at the toilet saying "mmgah" which is the word he uses anytime he wants something. Then he peed in the tub lol. Later on that day, I had to put him in the tub again and a similar situation. Then the next day, he pooped in his diaper and I said "uh oh" and explained that we use the potty instead then I asked him where the potty was. He went right into the bathroom and started banging on the lid. I figured it wouldn't hurt, since he seemed interested, and I ordered him his own little potty! He went on it immediately both times I put him on it on Saturday and although today wasn't as successful, it was still pretty exciting to at least introduce it.
I started singing the"Itsy Bitsy Spider" using the hand motions and he LOVES it and immediately started imitating the hand motions I made for the spider going up the water spout :) so now we sing "Itsy Bitsy" whenever he asks.
Today, I asked him to point out a banana, a cat, a horse, and his dad in one of his books and he pointed them all out correctly--even kissed the picture of Jared!
His walking has really improved since the beginning of the week and it's now his preferred mode of transportation.
He comes over and crawls up onto my lap and has been giving hugs while resting his head on my shoulder--it melts my heart--and has been giving kisses. He'll even give his rubber duckies kisses and get really excited and proud of himself when he makes the duckies kiss each other :)
Hopefully all of these new developments are why he won't take his naps!!!! Ahhhhhh! He's also been asking to nurse more which makes me think something's going on.
