I can't even remember the last time I wrote, or what I wrote about.
I suppose I should just pick up now and ramble :)
It's June 2012. Wow. Judah is a whopping 19 months old....I cannot believe he's already well on his way to two!
Judah Loves:
- Bananas!!!!!!!!
- Being outside
- Hanging out with Poppy
- Pouches
- Drinking from a straw
Judah Dislikes
- The garage door
- Pop-up books (only certain pages)
- Getting his diaper changed
- The "Talking Ben" app that has test tubes that get mixed and cause explosions on the screen
Judah Says:
- The cow goes "Bvoooo"
- The cat goes "Maaaaow"
- No
- Uh-oh!
- DoooDah (Judah)
- Peeeeeeeeee (please)
Judah Knows:
- Belly button
- Eyes
- Mouth
- Nose
- Ears
- Elbow
- Toes
- Feet
- Weiner (haha)
- How to clean up his toys, get his shoes when asked, and "scrub, scrub, scrub!" in the tub.
He wants to sit at the table like a big boy and prefers that over his high chair. He points at the time out chair when he's acting out at the dinner table. He's still nursing twice a day; mostly as soon as he wakes up in the morning and after nap. He takes one nap a day, lasting about 2 hours, beginning around 1 or 2.
Our daily routine is:
- Wake up, nurse.
- Breakfast
- Bath
- Chores while Judah plays
- Park/shopping/library/friends
- Lunch
- Play
- Nap
- Get ready for dinner
- Eat
- Play
- Bed around 8:30-9.
Judah really has seemed to have an intellectual boom around 17 months. He started doing new things, saying new things, and understanding and reacting to certain situations/instructions. It's been really, really neat and his attitude has changed a bit, too. He seemed very frustrated before. Now that he's walking and can "tell" us what he wants or needs, he's much more manageable and content. Going out to dinner as a family is still a longggggggg way off, but we're really able to manage so much better. It's exciting!
We've been doing lots of great things around the house, too!! The hallway is completely skim-coated and just needs a little more sanding and we'll be able to paint. We're also paining the floors/stairs. It's going to be an amazing transformation! We painted our bedroom and got new curtains. Swapped the living room and dining room--and it's AWESOME! Feels so much nicer! New curtains for the living room, too :) Jared finished the kitchen cabinets and I feel like a millionaire. We still have to design the doors and the crown and light rail needs to go up, but man! I loooooove it! We also got tons of fill in the back yard and brought the grade up probably about 10 feet or more. I'm not sure if the rest of the project will be saved until next year, or what.
Well, sadly I have to cut this bad boy short. It's 11:30 and we've got church in the morning and Judah T just woke up (he's cutting some more teeth and has been in some pain).
See you along the journey--
