Yay 2nd Tri!

How far along? 13 weeks, 6 days(according to O day)

Total weight gain: Will see at my next appointment on Monday.  I feel heavier and my belly's been itching so I definitely think I'm expanding.

How big is baby? Growing from a peach to a lemon, says the bump

Maternity clothes: I've been wearing my maternity jeans, but they're still a little big.  Regular clothes are too uncomfortable though and cause some cramping because they're too tight.  I don't fit into maternity shirts yet so I'm just wearing bigger regular shirts............or pajamas all day ;)

Stretch marks: None, but my like I said before, my stomach is getting itchy!  I hope I don't get any on my stomach :/

Sleep: Between bathroom breaks and Jared's snoring, it's been better haha.

Movement: None.  I can't wait!!!

Food cravings: Nothing really right now.

Food aversions: Nothing really to speak of.

Belly button: Same

Symptoms: Exhaustion.  I really feel blessed this pregnancy...I've really had minimal first trimester symptoms.  Tiredness has been the biggest, but I only had a few days of serious nausea & only a few weeks of mild nausea.  It worried me that something was wrong, that I wasn't feeling sick enough.  It was so relieving to go to the ultrasound and actually see that there was a baby in there and there was a healthy heartbeat.  Smells didn't bother me anywhere near as much as they did when I was pregnant with Judah.  Before I became pregnant, I dreaded the thought of becoming pregnant with a toddler and worried and wondered how I would survive 1st tri.  I can honestly say, although its had its definite challenges, I've been able to take naps when Judah takes his nap, whereas when I was working, there was obviously no way for that to happen.

What I'm looking forward to: I'm really looking forward to my appointment next Monday.  I'm hoping to be able to find out if it's a boy or girl, and very importantly to make sure that my cervical length hasn't changed.  I've been having some very uncomfortable contractions and cramping---this past week has been better though.  I've been really conscious about putting my feet up and listening to my body at every possible opportunity I get.

Not baby related, but I'm so excited about our small group tomorrow.  It was a great experience last week and I'm just so excited to get to know more people this week.  I was so frustrated that we couldnt get into a small group for so long because they were all full.  I truly believe now, it's because this is the exact group of people God wanted us to be with.  If we started in any other group, there would be almost no way we would have found our way into this group.

Weekly Wisdom: Say bye-bye to this one.  It won't be here next time.

Weekly joy: My dad came up to visit yesterday.  I was getting nervous about going on bedrest again and I wanted to get all the possible house projects done before that would happen or before the baby would be born.  I asked if he could come up and help sand the china closet to get it ready for paint.  With no hesitation at all, he said I'll be up this weekend.  He drove all the way up just to help.  He played with Judah, slept on the recliner in Judah's room during his nap (I think that was a special moment for him), and just hung out.  We had dinner over Jared's dad's, like we always do on Saturdays and after dinner, we played foozball.  I won!!!! I never win anything athletic (Jared said foozball is not athletic.  Pft.) Anyway, we were both screaming and had a great time playing.

Hi Baby :)
How far along? 12 weeks (according to O day.  The baby is measuring bigger and the edd the office is going by says I'm 12w2d-4d)

Total weight gain: Up to 122 as of my appt on the 10th

How big is baby? A plum :)

Maternity clothes: Seasons are changing so I haven't been able to rely on my dresses!  I'm also in between regular clothes and maternity clothes so that's been a little bit of a pain.  I bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans, though, and pulled out my old stuff.  It feels good :)

Stretch marks: None, yet!  I hope I don't get any more this time since I'm already stretchy :)

Sleep: Alright.  I get up 2-3 times a night to go to the bathroom though.

Movement: I've felt a few "wooshes".  That's the only way to describe it.  It was way, way low and not near my intestines....so I don't think it was gas :)  I haven't felt it in over a week though :(

Food cravings: Nothing really right now.  Maybe some pumpkin treats :)

Food aversions: Food is thankfully starting to get better.  Im not really thrilled about eating, but at least I can now.  I've had to cut out chocolate MUCH to my dismay.  It's been causing me to start cramping almost immediately after I eat it.  I have to make sure I avoid any type of cramping I can.  I tried 2 chocolate chips today.......and even that was a no-go :(

Belly button: Same

Symptoms: Exhaustion but most days are starting to look up as far as the general yuck goes.

What I'm looking forward to: Going to the bathroom because I have to pee haha.  Also, brushing my teeth...that's been happening several times a day because the taste in my mouth drives me crazy.

Also, also and more importantly, my appointment in 3 weeks.  I've been feeling like I've been having some braxton hicks already and some pressure/pain which is concerning to me bc it's mimicking the beginnings of when I had PTL with J.  I've decided to get t/v ultrasounds at each appointment to keep a good watch on cervical length.  Normal is 3-5 and I'm already at 3.5 this early on....It's hard not to worry.  Bonus with the appointment is....maybe we'll be able to tell if it's another boy or a girl.  I'm still thinking boy.

Weekly Wisdom: I feel like I should remove this category.  I never have anything to say.

Weekly joy: We had an event last night at church called groupLink.  We found a small group we're going to join and I'm really, really excited about it.  Everyone is younger and most have at least one child right around Judah's age.  It's going to be really fun to grow with my husband and just spend quality time reconnecting with him.  It's been so long and the daily grind has been....grinding.  It will be like a date night, every week, with the bonus opportunity to meet new friends that share our values and that are on a similar path.  I can't wait to soak it all in!
