Whoaaaaa belly!

Behold the first belly photos.  Huge, huge belly photos.
Excuse the way-end-of-the day, ready for bed "look".  I'm only 8w, 6d.  Yikes!

Same size as the photo to the right and that's a 5 week difference
(8w, 6d vs. 14w, 2d)!  Oh well :)

8w, 6d vs. 10w, 4d

How far along? 7w 5d

Total weight gain: I don't know, I haven't been checking.  I can't imagine anything yet though.

How big is baby?At seven weeks, baby is about the size of a blueberry

Maternity clothes: I'm way, way bloated.  I prefer dresses so I dont have a waist band cutting into me :)

Stretch marks:None, yet!

Sleep: Okay, especially since Jared's been sleeping on the couch and I get the whole bed to myself.  His back is hurting again :(

Movement: None yet!  We have an appointment with Sheela on the 6th.  I'll have an ultrasound then and even though I won't be able to feel any movement, I should be able to see it come 10.5 weeks.  I.can't.wait!

Food cravings: This past week was chicken finger with honey mustard (same as with Judah!), mozzarella sticks, and mashed potatoes with brown gravy!  It's amazing how I crave total bad, bad food.

Food aversions: None of my normal healthy cooking looks good.  I've been pulling out freezer meals because I just don't want to be looking at the food while I'm cooking it...we had a lentil stew/soup type thing last night and I just thought I was going to die.  I ate it anyway but ugh......

Belly button: Same

Symptoms: Exhaustion, food aversions, nausea on and off, just generally not feeling well.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting a shower because its almost 4 o'clock, Judah will be up from nap any minute, and I hate being unshowered.  I attempted to get in about 3 times so far today and it just wasn't happening.  I did take one before bed last night because I was crampy so I'm not that thaaat gross.

Weekly Wisdom: Oh....hm....not much goin on in this department!

Weekly joy: This has nothing to do with baby stuff, but I re did the bathroom yesterday.  I'll post pics later.  Just getting a new shower curtain, bathmat, and accessories really, really made a big difference.  I love it!

Photo Friday

In Daddoo's shoes and ready to go!

Judah has been carrying Jared's expired license around with him talking to it. Today, it joined us for some lunch.

Mr. PotatoHead is one of the #1 toys around here at the moment :)

Watching the "Joy, joy, joy" kitties on YouTube. He's loved this video since he was an infant.

The aftermath of the disastrous toddler tornado.

He's loving climbing up, down, and lounging in the zero gravity chair.

I know I already posted this...but I just love these moments so much. 3 years married, 9 years together. Praise the Lord for the perfect way things always align themselves.

Today's the day we tell Poppy! I also called my dad so I can tell him today, too. I'm not sure when to tell my mom and sister bc they got so worked up with the early miscarriage demanding I go to the hospital (there's nothing anyone at the hospital could have done). That was not something I wanted to deal with when I just wanted to be quiet, sad, and lay in bed to recover.

Anyway, on to happier things. Last night, Jare took Judah on a walk. Judah started pulling him and pointing him in the direction to Poppy's. He started to walk with him, but realized his little legs would get tired (it's about a half mile). He even tried going down wrong streets and other peoples drive ways-- Judah continued in the right direction and drug him there saying poppy over and over. Wow. I can't believe he knew the way by heart! He has to turn down 3 different street and everything! He whines when we drive past his Aunt Ninny's house without stopping...same thing if we pass the street the park is on. It just blows my mind that he knows EXACTLY where things are. He's not even 2 yet!!

Jare is re-finishing and painting the china closet today---yayyyy!!! And we're going to set up Judah's pool and take a dip :) Its in the 90s today so that'll be a good activity.

Well, better get moving with the day!

See you along the journey--

Can you keep a secret??

Today, I'm 5 weeks, 3 days pregnant!

We spilled the beans to my super awesome sister in law today by giving her (or Lola) the t-shirt she gave Judah to announce her pregnancy. Since the shirt was only 6mo. and Lola is 18-24 mo., it needed a little bit of altering and some girly-ness :) I finished it last night :)

No one knows yet, just Jared, my midwife Sheela, and April because she guessed (I'm SO bloated already!!!!). We plan to tell my father in law at Saturday's dinner. Lola will wear her shirt and I will make one for Judah (have to get on that!) and we'll see how long it takes "poppy" to notice.

When we told him we were pregnant with Judah, we gave him a little wooden sign about being a grandfather. He didn't get it and was like "oh very nice, very nice." We were like "We're pregnant!!!" His reaction was priceless hahaha. We'll see!!

I'm still incredibly nervous after losing a pregnancy back in May. We were 4w3d then and I took it really hard. I was worried bc the test line wasn't getting any darker, so I had a feeling that something wasn't right, but it was a huge surprise to see blood. I had no cramping up until that point or anything. That's what kind of worries me because it was just a shock-- no warning. Every time I go to the bathroom, I fear it. I praise the Lord that we're a full week past where we were last time around, I have a dark pink line, and am slowly collecting symptoms. I can't remember when I got nauseous with Judah so since I only have verrrrrrrry mild waves every once in a while, that adds to the nervousness in my head. Every time I get crampy, I get nervous. Jared reminds me that God is in control and that anything can happen to any one of us...at any given moment. We just have to trust and rest. I'm thankful for a God who loves us so much, who knows our hearts, and plans our lives perfectly.
